History

The SA Internet Marathon (SIM) began in 2017 as “Geek Camp”.  We were a group of SA members desiring to use technology to reach sexaholics worldwide to provide community and fellowship.  Some of us had IT knowledge and many of us were challenged to learn new methods of communicating.  What resulted was a beautiful 24-hours of Worldwide Unity!

Geek Camp 2017

On 23rd-24th August 2017, SA members from all over the world connected together via the Internet for a whole day and carried the SA message to the still suffering sexaholic.

Channel A – a continuous series of one hour panels, where sober SA members shared their experience, strength and hope about carrying the SA message.  Each panel was hosted by a different SA service body, such as a Region, Intergroup or international committee.  All sessions were streamed live onto this website, where they were viewed by the 600 members who had registered for the Camp and been issued with the password.

Channel B – workshops, fellowship and entertainment. SA members who had registered for the Camp were given a confidential hyperlink which allowed them to enter the Channel B room. SA members from around the world then shared fellowship together and entertained each other. There was much fun and laughter.
